(Eggsercise, by Bill Wurtzel)
A recent piece in the NYT tipped us off to the work of Bill Wurtzel, a jazz guitarist who has been making and photographing works of art on the plate for breakfast.
Now, first off, check out the really cool stuff that this guy has done – the link to the piece in the NYT contains a slideshow and Mr. Wurtzel has a website here.
Second, one of the things that we like about this is that Wurtzel actually takes his art to the schools with an explicit purpose of trying to discourage obesity by insipring people to create meals that are nutritious and fun. So far, he has created over 400 unique breakfast dishes.
So, you wanna check more of these out? Well, go to the website! But, more importantly, keep an eye out for his upcoming book called, “Breakfast for Claire.” The NYT article says that he is still seeking a publisher for the book, so for any folks in publishing business, check him out before he gets scooped up by someone else.
Happy Monday,
Larry
